Click image to play movie (please wait for movie to load). Then click [SHOW QUESTIONS] on lower right of movie window to advance to:

1. Comment: Please comment on the changing role of the nurse and METS.

2. Question: Are there any post-intervention studies up to 6 months or a year for a patient requiring a MET response?

3. Question: Does study data include DNR and withdrawal from life support?

4. Question: Can a strong peer review process overcome resistance to buy into the system?

5. Comments. We need to change the paradigm of emergency response. We need to change how and when medical emergency responses are initiated. Our ICU response teams do not work due to technical problems, lack of intervention, and lack of follow-up.

6. Question: Is the fee for service model of healthcare a significant problem in overcoming hospital culture?

7. Comment: Territory, communication and ownership.
