CME Information

Target Audience

This course is designed for patient safety officers, hospitalists and hospital based physicians, critical care medicine physicians, hospital administrators, nursing directors, respiratory care directors, and finally resuscitation and clinical outcomes researchers as well as other health care professionals.

Accreditation and Credit Designation:

The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Center for Continuing Education in the Health Sciences designates this continuing medical education activity for a maximum of 11 Category 1 credits towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

To obtain CME credit

Mastery of the content for each conference session on this DVD makes one eligible for one category 1 credit, A total of 11 credit hours may be obtained. To obtain credit for this activity, you must pass a quiz for each section.

1. Go to CME Quiz website (you MUST be connected to the Internet)
2. Take the quiz for each session you have reviewed. By taking the quiz, you are verifying that you have reviewed all session materials on this DVD. You may retake the quiz. Credit will be given for a score of 100%.
3. Print out a summary page for your scores.
4. Print out and complete the evaluation form for each session.
5. Include your credit card information on the form (or submit a check)
6. Mail summary page, evaluation and check for $35.00 or credit card information to:

You may return to the quiz at a later date to apply for additional CME credit. However, each time you submit quiz results for credit, you will be charged $35.00.
